Create with a Word
An adaptation & communication program for Russian-speaking newcomers
Create with a Word is a structured adaptation program designed for Russian-speaking newcomers building their lives in the United States. The program is created for people from different cultural backgrounds who share Russian as part of their communication, education, or everyday life experience.
Many participants arrive with strong education, valuable life experience, and rich personal histories. At the same time, adapting to life in the United States often means entering a different communication culture — one that values initiative, openness, self-presentation, collaboration, and horizontal dialogue in both professional and everyday environments.
Even people familiar with American culture through films, social media, or years of studying English often discover that everyday communication includes many subtle social expectations and unwritten cultural patterns. This program helps participants navigate these spaces with greater clarity while staying connected to their own identity, voice, and cultural background.
Create with a Word combines communication training, emotional grounding, cultural adaptation tools, creative expression, and community connection. The goal is to help participants communicate more clearly, feel more stable in a new environment, strengthen their self-expression, and build a sense of belonging without losing their individuality in the adaptation process.
The next Create with a Word group is expected to open in late summer or early fall. Additional information and registration details will be shared on the website.

Creative Anchoring Through Art
Each meeting ends with the creation of a small symbolic art piece connected to the theme of the week.
These creative practices support emotional integration, reflection, stability, and self-expression.
The finished objects become personal symbolic anchors connected to the participant’s inner process throughout the program.
